The Discovery Group is a locally owned and operated experiential touring company based in Noosa, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. The passion for Noosa and World Heritage Listed Fraser Island coupled with a determination to showcase the very best of the region’s natural and cultural assets to visitors locally, domestically and from around the world has helped to deliver a “uniquely Australian experience”.
NOOSA BIOSPHERE RESERVE “Living Laboratory”…
In September 2007, the former Noosa Shire was awarded Biosphere status by UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere International Coordinating Council. The Discovery Group is the only Tour Operator to work in both a Biosphere Reserve & World Heritage Listed areas. Because of this position, The Company is committed to raising awareness in order to help preserve the pristine environment of the Noosa Biosphere, and to maintain quality of life for the residence and tourist alike. We take responsibility to lead the way and globally help position the region on an international level as a knowledge bank for sustainable tourism.

We are committed to protecting our environment through the eco tourism program. “Eco Tourism” is ecologically sustainable tourism with a primary focus on experiencing natural areas that fosters environmental and cultural awareness, understanding, appreciation and conservation.
